Re your recent additions, here is what I'm thinking of doing [1]. BTW, my notion of modular robots is that if possible they would be ideal since you could fix them yourself. hmm. You might be referring to MoleCubes? ... They are neat inventions in my eyes. I think their goal is to miniaturize them as much as they can... so how small they could get... who knows? Wikademia

Namespace

I created a new Collaboration namespace and moved some pages [2]

I think this serves you just as well, doesn't it? Using this policy [3]

I may have lost something )= I am not entirely sure. Something went wrong in creating the new namespace, and I lost the pages. But I got them back, I hope, by going through your contribs and looking at the diffs. I am very sorry if I lost anything. Did I? Something may still be wrong. using C:MoleCubes ought to work but gives an error.

I have

$wgNamespaceAliases['C'] = NS_COLLABORATION;
$wgExtraNamespaces[100] = "Collaboration";
$wgExtraNamespaces[101] = "Collaboration_talk";

Update: I took $wgNamespaceAliases['C'] = NS_COLLABORATION;
out of LocalSettings because due to the link above I could not even access this page with it in. Yet, the wiki seems to work otherwise, and the new namespace seems to work. Hope I didn't lose anything important on your pages. P^uR^{ple scissor}ʇɐןʞ 05:39, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

Oh... I think I see what you mean.... it's your wiki, so where ever you want those pages is certainly well within your right to choose, as you know. The namespace seems like a nice idea though.

I may have not been clear in my attempt at communication. I was suggesting that the extension that allows for interwiki linking be installed. This way, if we both wanted, then Wikademia could easily link to Wikisynergy, and Wikisynergy could easily link to Wikademia. This extension would allow for actual external links using markup like [[Wikademia:PAGENAME]] (to link to Wikademia from Wikisynergy) or [[Wikisynergy:PAGENAME]] (to link to Wikisynergy from Wikademia). This way [http://... LINKNAME] syntax would not have to be used. This certainly would not have to occur, but I thought it might perhaps build synergies. Who knows? Wikademia

Of course, this is all just hypothetical/optional/possible. It certainly would not have to be implemented. Wikademia

Google and empty pages

I read that Google downgrades wikis and other sites which have a lot of empty or near-empty pages. I really don't want to get into that position. Do you have any more information on this? P^uR^{ple scissor}ʇɐןʞ 00:41, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

That may be right. I could not tell you positively. I won't create any more super short stubs until I expand the ones I have already created, if that is OK. Wikademia

Interwiki

Which interwiki extension do you use? I tried a couple of things which did not work. P^uR^{ple scissor}ʇɐןʞ 04:03, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

This one here http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:SpecialInterwiki I've had no problems with it. Let me know if I can help. Wikademia

I installed that and the special page worked fine... but I could not find any way to add a site. I did use a text file with this:

Yes, permissions are key:
