Two quick comments:

"We are glad to accept imported articles, especially if they appear nowhere else on the web."

If they aren't anywhere else, how is one to import them?

You'd have to upload them, for example the Zetetic recently became available in pdf. PuRple scissorʇɐןʞ 03:55, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

"But if they are good enough, perhaps having a local copy is a good idea."

This isn't very clear, and appears to modify the first sentence in a strange way. I would try to edit them for clarity, etc., but then I probably be overstepping at least my experience level here, by writing policy in a sense. Human 00:46, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

I was thinking that things go offline, and also that in certain cases it might be okay for our google rank even if it is duplicated? PuRple scissorʇɐןʞ 03:55, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
Good ideas. This is of course a first draft of the page, and not yet linked on the main page. PuRple scissorʇɐןʞ 03:55, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Anyone have a template

I promised a template to begin an article here Is there one? Tom Butler 00:57, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

I'm not sure what you mean by a template... PuRple scissorʇɐןʞ 01:16, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
And that link doesn't really go anywhere. Can you re-ask your question? Human 03:29, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
I took it out because there were two headings for the same basic information PuRple scissorʇɐןʞ 03:39, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
Ah, ok. Anyway, I still couldn't figure out what Tom was referring to. Guess I should check the history? Human 04:15, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
Got it. I have no idea what template Tom had in mind, but he might have had a good idea? Or is the simple "edit a new article" box enough? Perhaps he means to link to a WS: page with helpful explanations on how to write a new article? Human 04:19, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
I fixed Tom's link to point to his edit. Human 04:21, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
Hey Human, do you have any idea what went wrong here? I do not think I lost anything important, but I do not know why the $wgNamespaceAliases['C'] = NS_COLLABORATION; gives a database error, because it works for other namespaces. For instance $wgNamespaceAliases['T'] = NS_TEMPLATE; works. PuRple scissorʇɐןʞ 05:45, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
